7 Cubot Power Pros And Cons Reviewed with the real facts about the Cubot Power not just specs.

Number One: Android 8.1 Oreo

This one of the best Androids out of the box launching quickly with Android 8.1 ready to go.

So far Android 8.1's biggest benefit over previous Android version is that it displays the battery level of connected Bluetooth devices. Getting Android 8.1 out the box is an advantage the cubot power has over many Chinese androids with some manufacturers opting to release androids with 7.0 or 7.1 Nougat and then send an update to Android 8.1 Oreo. In the Bluboo S3 review the biggest complaint was that we were still waiting on an update to from Android 7.1 to Android 8.0.

 
 Number 2: Headphone Options

Wired headphones have the advantage of being cheaper and using less energy than bluetooth headphones. With the Cubot Power, you have the standard 3.5mm port plus a Type-C USB port. I know it seems minor however when you have two wired options I including headphone would have made the power better out of the box. Bluetooth 4.0 has long been the standard for Chinese Androids so when a phone like the cubot power is Bluetooth version 4.2 enabled it puts it a step above the rest and when combined with Android 8.1 Oreo's battery level display the power has huge Bluetooth advantages against Chinese Androids.

 Number 3: Design And Battery

This phone is very fast to pick up fingerprints on the plastic case not so much with the scanner, 0.1 seconds is a reach scanner reaction time is more like 1.5 to 2 seconds.

The battery is a staggering 6000Mah and which comes with the downside of a thicker heavier build. On plus the Cubot Powers battery life reflects its name you’ve got the power to playback in 1080P video for 27hrs. This is shockingly efficient outlasting the Vernee X and Ulefone Power 3.

Cubot has produced a wonderful piece of machinery with the biggest cost being the cost. Ulefone's Power 3 and Vernee's X are the closest competition with lower cost. The distinct edge the Cubot Power has which validates the price is the CPU's, vernee's X and Ulefone's Power 3 use the MTK6763 CPU clocked at 2.0GHZ and the Cubot's Power uses an MTK6763T CPU clocked at 2.5GHZ.

 Number 5: Dual Volte

Volte (Voice Over Long Term Evolution) is an amazing feature that is enabled with some 4G phones like the power. Volte offers higher call quality less call drops and allows you to use the internet while on a call all pros. The Cubot power is a dual sim phone in which both slots cards are 4G enabled some dual sim phones offer only 4G with one of the slots.

Not only does the power offer dual sim it goes further and offers dual Volte

Dual VOLte is the use of two 4G sims at once.

One major setback that often occurs as it has in this phones case is that one of those sim slots also doubles as an SD card you can use either two nano sim cards or one sim card and one SD/TF card. You may not care if the 128GB internal memory is enough for you. Maximum SD card capacity accepted is 128GB.

Number 6: Display And Sound

Only Criticism of the screen is that it's just not bright enough which  causes problems with glare in high lighting. Screens positives are the colours that contrast very well definitely pleasant to view images on.

 Number 7: One Camera Vs Two

The two biggest issues I have had with Chinese Android manufactures concerning cameras has been over exaggeration of specs and the dual camera trend, many times it has bee proven that two cameras are not better than one. Firstly and this may not be Cubots however some sites state the Cubots back camera to be 20MP which is not true the rear camera is fact 16MP and a technique called interpolation is used to increase camera resolution from by artificially adding pixels. Front camera is stated as some to be 13MP when in fact it is 8MP interpolation does not always produce accurate images. The second issue I mentioned was dual cameras thankfully to Cubots credit they have broken the trend and only included one front and back camera.

On the plus one rear camera takes very detailed photos when focused on the minus the camera takes a while to focus pictures can be a little bit saturated and low light shots are bad. Another positive, camera video is good not great but definite good on the slightly less positive HDR (Hyper Dynamic Range) blows out photos.

Bluetooth Headphones

Unlike most Chinese Androids the Vernee V2 Pro has Bluetooth 4.2 the average Chinese Android phone uses the bare minimum Bluetooth version 4.0. Not only is Bluetooth 4.2 2.5 times faster than 4.0 it is also more energy efficient and unlike 4.0 aligns its signal with 4G instead of against which cost much more energy, along with the Vernee V2 Pro's' VOLTE this is a huge asset.

This is one of the first Chinese Androids to come with Android 8.1 preinstalled the majority of Chinese Android manufacturers send an update from 7.1 or 7.0 Android 8.1. Is the very first version of Android to display the battery usage of the Bluetooth devices connected to it. Other Android versions have this feature if the manufacturer programmed it in with the V2 it's not if.
